The Washington Square Health Foundation Board of Directors mourns the death of and celebrates the life of Dr. Angelo P. Creticos, our President, our colleague and our friend. Dr. Creticos passed away on Monday, January 24th, shortly after his 89th birthday. He was a medical doctor, with specialties in cardiology and endocrinology, and a philanthropist. Dr. Creticos was a founding board member of the Washington Square Health Foundation and its President for over 15 years. Dr. William N. Werner, M.P.H. , Vice President of the Foundation, will take on the responsibilities of President. |

| The Washington Square Health Foundation, Inc. grants funds in order to promote and maintain access to adequate healthcare for all people in the Chicagoland area regardless of race, sex, creed or financial need. The Foundation meets this goal through its grants for medical and nursing education, medical research and direct healthcare services. |
